This Necklace and Earrings set is totally my creation.
This happened two weeks ago when I just walked in one of my favorite beadstores looking for brass trace chain and earwire.

As always, one usually doesn't go with any other intention other than to buy what one needs. What happened? Well, this girl comes up and tells me that I could have all the beads I could fit in a plastic zip bag for $3.75 (beads that were lying on a table). I was like: "Oh, really?"

"Really," said the girl.

So I grabbed a bag and started picking. My father, who was with me, was worried that I couldn't fit those beads. And I assured him that I would make them fit. Anyhow, among the beads, are the ones you see above. When I saw those, instantly, inspiration struck me like a soothing gush of water.

I already had the chain and the fancy jump rings at home. BTW...I use these jumprings alot in my creations because they are VERY good! They don't tarnish as quickly as the regular ones.

Materials:

Black donut glass beads, silver-plated trace chain, and silver-plated metal components.

Measurements:

The necklace hangs 11 1/2 inches long.
The earrings are 3 inches long.

Estimated Cost:

This could go for $25.00.

Thank you very much for your wonderful words as always...:)
I'm going to be showing it around this week. Hopefully, someone will buy it.

I'm always looking for drama, I guess.

Don't you just LOVE special sales? Those beads are beautiful, and I love what you did with them.
Thank you very much for your review.

Love them?
I worship them!
Gosh, from the beads they had on display, these ones were the first to jump out on me. Speaking of which, I've just completed another piece using some of the beads from that sale. And get this, I've managed to combine them with some beautiful buttons I bought months ago. ONce I take a picture of them, I will post it on my gallery, which will be pretty soon.

Now, this piece, what I love the most is its simplicity. At the same time, it's elegant. And when it comes to elegance and beauty, I'm a sucker for it...^___^

I subscribe to BeadStyle magazine, and they have a section in the back with listings for bead stores all over the country. Since I live in Connecticut, which is a rather small state, I decided to take a trip yesterday and visit two. My brother and I got a bag of cookies, Google mapped the addresses, and jumped in the car. I came home somewhat poorer, but with the most wonderful collection of glass and semi-precious. Today is jewelry-making day!
